We are pleased to announce that ASIF not only shares our vision of building the most sustainable and green data center but is also funding us to achieve this goal. With their support, we can accelerate our efforts and elevate our product to the next level. This demonstrates ASIF's significant positive impact on the startup ecosystem, and we are very grateful for this.
Click here to read their blog post about us.Before deploying our Cloud Unit to the customer location, we had the valuable opportunity to introduce it to some of our strategic partners and investors. At our company, we are passionate about hard work and committed to building a sustainable future for data centers. Realizing this vision would be impossible—and far less enjoyable—without collaborating with passionate and forward-thinking people.
Our network of Cloud Units allows companies worldwide to effortlessly enhance their Azure cloud, making it more cost-effective, truly sustainable, and green. At the installation site, it allows solar panels or wind turbines owners the chance to earn extra income by selling their excess localized green electricity to the network.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the meeting on such short notice (within just 7 days). For those who couldn’t make it or were not invited, don’t worry—we will be hosting another session at the Cloud Unit’s operational site soon.
Today, we had the opportunity to deliver a presentation at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). We gained invaluable insights into the needs and interests of the students. During the presentation, Jacques introduced internship profiles:
1. Network Intrusion Detection: Join our team for an internship dedicated to pioneering AI-based intrusion detection systems (IDS) for our Cloud Unit gateway. You will contribute to cutting-edge research and implementation projects, exploring the integration of AI to enhance cloud security. This role is ideal for computer science or cybersecurity enthusiasts, offering hands-on experience in developing solutions to secure cloud infrastructures against evolving threats.
2. Smartgrid Integration: Research and develop a solution to synchronize compute power consumption with energy supply. This opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about tackling energy challenges through technology. Join our project to make a tangible impact on sustainable computing practices.
3. Customized internships: We also offer customized internships tailored to suit individual needs. Our focus is on research, proof of concept, and implementation. Depending on the skill set and internship requirements, students can engage in one or all of these three phases.

We are excited to announce that we have been accepted into the NVIDIA Inception Program, joining a select group of startups poised to accelerate their adoption of cutting-edge technologies in rendering and AI. This program offers invaluable resources such as technical support, product discounts, and access to investors and communities.
In addition to our participation in the NVIDIA Inception Program, we are also proud members of the AWS and Azure programs. AWS has played a crucial role in supporting our journey by facilitating testing and development of our virtual Cloud Units. Similarly, Azure has been instrumental in validating the seamless integration of our solutions with Azure Functions (FaaS).
We are immensely grateful for the support provided by these programs and remain committed to continued collaboration wherever possible. Together, we are driving towards a more sustainable future for computing!
Today marks a significant milestone for us as we proudly announce our graduation from the ACE incubator. The journey through this accelerator program has been nothing short of transformative. Each week, we were immersed in invaluable knowledge sessions covering a diverse range of topics including law, intellectual property, marketing, sales, financing, IT certifications, and business model innovation, ensuring that every facet of OutdoorCompute was meticulously addressed.
Throughout this journey, the guidance and support of our mentors and coaches have been instrumental. Additionally, the ACE team has been an indispensable resource, providing us with everything we could have possibly needed. We were afforded numerous opportunities to test, refine, and receive feedback on our final presentation, which we delivered with confidence today.
We are immensely grateful for the enriching experience and look forward to applying the lessons learned as we continue to grow and thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of technology entrepreneurship.
Today we had an interview with Justus and his team. They are making a portrait of all the ACE incubator program candidates. Bellow you can find the questions and answers. The video will follow soon.
(Justus): What problem is your startup solving? (Nick): Data Centers has become essential but use a lot of energy. The number of data centers will continue to grow in the future. How can we support the growth in an environmental and sustainable matter?
(Justus): Who are you and what drives you to solve this problem? (Nick): I am Nick, I feel privileged to work on a problem that involves my entrepreneurial and technical interests. Especially because the solution has a positive environmental en social impact.
(Justus): What sets your startup apart from others in your industry? (Nick): We believe that most startups and companies are valuable. Together we can bring new innovations and provide services or products that improve the quality of life. (Justus): Three words what you and/or your startup describes. (Nick): Innovative, passionate, scalable
ACE facilitated a great "Pitch and Beers" event. We brought our stress-test Cloud Unit version to give the attendees an idea of our product. We gave a 3 minute pitch to a jury and audience consisting of mentors, VCs and other stakeholders. We receive excellent questions from the jury and audience. It gave us the opportunity to evaluate the response on our business strategy and product.
We are embarking on a transformative journey through a rigorous 10-week program designed to fortify every facet of our startup. Following the intensive program, ACE will continue to offer unwavering support, providing ongoing guidance as needed to steer us toward sustained success.
https://ace-incubator.nl/We have visited a lot of events related to Big Data & AI, sustainable energy and data centers in the months October and November. We spoke to hundreds of companies and specialist in these fields. We want to thank everyone that gave feedback on our solution or insight in the problems that they solve. It was an enlightening experience.
What are some of the goals we accomplished?
We thoroughly relished our experience at EuroBSDCon 2023. The event proved to be not only excellent in terms of content and organization but also unfolded in an incredibly delightful location steeped in rich history. It was a perfect blend of informative sessions and a captivating venue that added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.
We believe that we can build a great startup if we work together with specialists who are passionate about the technology stack. And want to use their skills to build a more sustainable world and have a positive social impact on society. It would even be better if we could re-contribute to opensource technologies that we love and use every day.
One of our objectives was to immerse ourselves in the community atmosphere and gain a genuine understanding of its dynamics. Our aim was to explore the future collaborations and how we might work together.
https://2023.eurobsdcon.org/The Co-Labs provided us with invaluable opportunities to connect with fellow founders, fostering a vibrant network within our entrepreneurial community. These sessions were not only enriching but also included informative discussions on effective strategies for identifying and attracting new co-founders, emphasizing key characteristics essential for successful partnerships.
Yes!Funded played a pivotal role by enlightening us about diverse funding options and subsidies available for our startup. Through their extensive network, they facilitated crucial connections with key contacts, including those from RVO and other subsidy providers. We express our sincere gratitude for the invaluable support and insights received.
